I took the Ricoh GR with me to Brighton so I could use an inconspicuous small camera for some night work rather than lug the large Nikon D3s around at night.
I tried to find appropriate items to rest the camera on so I could use long exposures on self timer.
The first image consists of two images merged to create one wide angle shot.
Stunning little camera!
I worked for the US Government in West Berlin for 11yrs as a Photojournalist, I returned home in 1991 and continued in photography until 2001. I hope all who visit this site enjoy the photographs and appreciate what can be achieved using various equipment brands and a mix of photos taken with a variety of different sensor sized cameras. I must add that all images on this site are small JPEG so do not reflect the true quality of the original Raw conversions.

Beauty
She and I have just returned from two days in Brighton, we had fantastic weather dry and sunny but cold.
I did a photo session with She, I grabbed a couple of images by the old boat then as the sun was setting I used it behind her to create a nice halo and allow the subtle colours of the setting sun to create a nice background - all images with the D3s and the superb 24-120 f4 lens.
Needless to say I am pleased with the results - She is also happy!

Boxing Day drag hunt
I went to the annual Boxing Day Hunt meet in the local park with my good friend Rob, it was a deceptively cold morning with flat lighting but we still managed to capture some images of the event.
A good turn out of riders and spectators as usual and Rob and I managed to grab some arrival shots then position ourselves on an old hay cart to get shots of the departure.
I used the Olympus EM1 with Pany 100-300mm for the arrival and general shots before the start and switched to the Nikon D3s with 24-120 for the images as they came past us as I wanted good fast AF.
