Just a walk in the Park

I went out for a good walk in the park recently and covered 4.6 miles so some exercise, good fresh air and a few photos on the way with the moody skies.

We are so lucky to have such a stunning park on our doorstep that is free to enter and has such beauty for all to appreciate.

This was followed yesterday by a drive out to photograph some landscapes again with changing light as the afternoon progressed.

Santa Express

We visited the Cricklade & Swindon railway at Blunsdon station yesterday as they were holding a special family day, rides on the train and a visit to Santa for the children.

We were with the family and our grandsons and they really enjoyed it (the youngest who is 17 months old was a bit unsure of Frosty the Snowman and Father Christmas - the older one loved them both).

Sheila who has her own radio show on Corinium Radio also managed to get some good interviews and sound effects from the afternoon.

It was a really well run event that really catered for the children and made it special despite having some rain on and off and moody skies.

I managed to grab some photos though.

Street work

A few more street images, firstly from our local town while I was waiting for my wife to finish working at the indoor vintage market - the light was superb and complimented the buildings really well.

The second set are from a trip to Bath City yesterday, it was a wet and miserable day but as the day went on the rain stopped - Bath is a city that always offers good photographic subject matter.

All images taken with the tiny Sony RX100.

Cirencester Market Place.
