I grabbed a few images today with the X70 of some beautiful and colourful trees lining a country road.
I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time to capture suns rays streaming through the trees to enhance the colours and mood.
I worked for the US Government in West Berlin for 11yrs as a Photojournalist, I returned home in 1991 and continued in photography until 2001. I hope all who visit this site enjoy the photographs and appreciate what can be achieved using various equipment brands and a mix of photos taken with a variety of different sensor sized cameras. I must add that all images on this site are small JPEG so do not reflect the true quality of the original Raw conversions.

Nearly but not quite
We had planned on going to Westonbirt Arboretum this afternoon so we could enjoy the autumn colours but I think the whole world had the same idea, it was so full they were not allowing any more vehicles on site.
We headed off through the countryside and ended up in Malmesbury so grabbed some shots around the Abbey and some leaves before returning home where I grabbed a couple of quick photos.
All taken with the XT2 + 16-55mm.

X70 Street
I was in town yesterday afternoon to capture a few shots as the light was fading, I then went to Gloucester today and while there grabbed some street photos.
Once again the X70 did a superb job and proved how discrete and efficient it is for street.

Pegasus Sprint event
I was at Castle Combe race circuit last Sat with Rob to photograph the Pegasus sprint event, cars complete a timed circuit to compete for the fastestdrive.
An interesting mix of vehicles form road cars to very expensive sprint cars so a good day of photos.
Unfortunately the weather was not as good as we would have hoped for, very overcast with flat dull lighting that remained for most of the day only starting to clear later in the day.
I used the 16-55 for a lot of the static display photos and then switched to the superb 100-400 for the track shots, both in combination with the XT2 so some of these were at 3200iso.
I have in turn tried a new editing software that I find delivers better Raw conversions than many other software applications.
