Gloucester gets busy

I drove over to Gloucester yesterday after my morning photo session, there was a market at the docks and the city was crowded with a real mix of personalities.

There were some people dressed in Victorian dress to add a bit of character to the event.

Dull day photos

I received my new Fuji flash on Fri and wanted to try it out, I thought today was the perfect day as it was very overcast and threatened rain.

We took a little walk down the path and shot a few photos before returning home and finishing off in the garden.

Delighted with the flash as it delivered great light without shadows and added nice catchlights in the eyes - nice one Fuji!

Painswick

I was out on Saturday with the XP2 and 18&35mm lenses, not the best weather so as I was close I stopped in the village of Painswick and grabbed some photos in the local area and a couple in the church.

It was so nice to use the XP2 as it is the closest I have in a modern camera to the rangefinders I used years ago as a PJ.

The Park

I grabbed some shots in the Park before Sheila joined me, I then grabbed a few images of her as well.

Flat lighting but I was determined to get some images using the XT2 + 100-400mm.

I am really impressed with how this combo performs and the IQ delivered even at 2400 / 3200ISO  is superb.
