I was back at Lower Moor Nature Reserve again yesterday and there were quite a few dragonflies about but mostly constantly flying with very few settling long enough for me to get a photograph.
I did manage to capture a some images of a female emperor dragonfly laying her eggs as well as in flight prior to landing.
I worked for the US Government in West Berlin for 11yrs as a Photojournalist, I returned home in 1991 and continued in photography until 2001. I hope all who visit this site enjoy the photographs and appreciate what can be achieved using various equipment brands and a mix of photos taken with a variety of different sensor sized cameras. I must add that all images on this site are small JPEG so do not reflect the true quality of the original Raw conversions.

Weston Air Show 2019
I ventured down to Weston yesterday for the Air show. It was a
disappointment after previous years as there were far fewer aircraft
than previous years, the amazing Catalina was missing and the Lancaster
had engine problems so did not fly. There were a lot of people
grumbling about the show but at least the weather helped.....some were
so bored they slept
