I called at one of our local nature reserves on Friday as I had not been able to visit for a while.
I was the only person there apart from some workmen in a closed off area, it did mean that there was some activity as fewer humans to scare off any wildlife / insect activity and I had to dodge a few rain showers but it was worth it.
These are the photos I am happy with.
I worked for the US Government in West Berlin for 11yrs as a Photojournalist, I returned home in 1991 and continued in photography until 2001. I hope all who visit this site enjoy the photographs and appreciate what can be achieved using various equipment brands and a mix of photos taken with a variety of different sensor sized cameras. I must add that all images on this site are small JPEG so do not reflect the true quality of the original Raw conversions.

Avon Valley Railway - Wartime Re-enactment event.
We attended the Wartime Re-enactment event at the weekend and while my wife was working, I had the opportunity to grab some photos in between the rain showers.
It was well attended especially as it is the last re-enactment event in the 2019 calendar and it was great to see both "Winston Churchill and Montgomery" in attendance.
These are the images I took with the A7iii and they are a mix of B&W and colour.
