Lower Mill

Overcast today (again) but being determined to get some photos I took the XT2 + 100-400 out and decided to take a trip to Lower Mill nature reserve, very little about but I did manage to get some shots of the smaller birds enjoying the seeds in the bird feeder and on the table.

The main aim was to get fresh air and enjoy some therapy with the camera, these are the results - all hand held.

Cheltenham

We were in Cheltenham yesterday and as usual while Sheila was looking around the shops I had some time to put the X70 to good use and grab some images.
For me this is the perfect camera for unplanned street work and it fits easily into a pocket so can remain there always and be brought out when needed yet delivers the same image quality as the Fuji X100 series.

Dull and dismal

Some images taken recently with the Fuji XT2 + 55-200mm lens.

It was very dismal following continuous rain throughout the night so lots of mud, despite that I was determined to grab some photos and enjoy my "Fuji Time".

Over the hills and far away

Out today for a walk over the hills from the viewpoint with the X-Pro2 and the 35mm f1.4, it was cold with occasional sunshine but very clear so visibility was outstanding.
I have taken some landscape photos and used Nik Analogue Pro for the editing and a different finish.
I also grabbed some abstracts and nature shots.

Lady She at the lakes

My wife and I were out at the lakes yesterday and I wanted to shoot some images of her.

I took the XT2 + 56mm APD and the Fuji EF-X500 flash unit and we went out to the country for a walk and to do some more daylight flash photos, it was a cold but bright day and the fresh air was perfect to clear the remnants of colds and enjoy a photo session at the same time.

The EF-X500 is superb and automatically operates in high speed sync mode when needed delivering great results.

These were all shot at 200 ISO, manual mode f1.2 and adjusting the shutter to allow the background to be underexposed yet the flash illuminating the subject correctly.

I am happy!
