The Model

Had a quick photo shoot with my wife today, she is a natural in front of the camera and very happy to pose for me.

I wanted her to wear her long velvet coat and we found a suitable tree area for the photos.

I used the D500 and the 24-120 lens as well as fill flash and these are the results.

Out and about

Out again this afternoon with the DF and a couple of lenses.

The weather was good but alas there was very little activity to capture so I resorted to some more nature photos of plants etc.

A good afternoon with fresh air and exercise that was the main aim.

Walk on a overcast day

Out for a short walk in the park today and luckily it remained dry even though the light was flat.

Grabbed the DF with 50mm and the SB700 for the walk so I could travel light, not much subject matter about but with patience and observation I did manage to find a few subjects worth capturing.

It is great to have the balance of the D500 for sport / airshows and the DF for street / documentary and general purpose photography and both deliver superb IQ.

Wandering in Weston

We took a trip to Weston-Super-Mare today and enjoyed the best of the good weather before it clouded over.

I travelled light and took just the DF with the 50mm lens and enjoyed shooting with this combo, it is perfect for street and documentary and the 50mm f1.8 is a superb lens to compliment the body as well as promoting more thoughtful shooting.
