GX1 images with 25mm f1.4 - a lens of character

I have recently acquired the Pana Leica 25mm f1.4 Summilux D lens and have to say even though it is bigger and heavier than my old 20mm, it is poles apart in terms of focus speed and image quality, it also has the ability to do AFC, something the 20mm could not.

The bokeh from this lens is also beautiful.

First images

Sheila had a vintage style workshop recently and I took this of one of the ladies, handheld - 1/60th @ f2.8 and 640 ISO - nice clean image some performs well above base ISO.

These are some B&W converted using Silver Efex Pro

A very wet and squally day today with rain and hailstone, made for good dramatic skies though

Went to one of our local indoor "Flea markets" today and used Auto ISO, these are shot between 400 & 1000 ISO handheld, no flash and I am very happy with the results.

Out today with 25mm to capture some of natures colours

  1. Hi, it's Summilux D or Summilux DG? I don't think D's speed is better than 20mm XD.
