Nikon D700 does Olympic flame arrival and other images

I attended the arrival of the Olympic flame in Cirencester yesterday, took the D700 + 24-120 f4 lens along and very happy with the results.
Despite being a bit of a beast combo, the quality of image is superb so worth the load.

The arrival of the flame

The support was outstanding with a carnival feel to it all.

An unusual sight, a 1940's Alex Cars coach drives through the market place - Nostalgia.

A quick trip to Bibury today as it was overcast & bright so perfect for photos, I wanted to get a shot of the famous Arlington Row from both ends & the bridge that reminds me of a Constable painting.

This is a poppy in a field that I really liked the contrast against the soft greenery.

A dry day today after the continuous July rain - wanted to capture a few images and get some fresh air.

Cold day at the lakes and in the country - converted to B&W using Silver Efex Pro2
