We celebrated 46yrs of married life on 5 Jan despite many separations during my military career so a real achievement we are very proud of.
We went to the Swan Hotel in Bibury for a fabulous lunch (compliments of our family), great service and food in a stunning village 6 miles from home.
We had a walk around the village and grabbed some photos of the famous Arlington Row of cottages that started life in the 14th century as a wool warehouse, being converted to weavers cottages in the 17th century and used ever since as living abodes that are now owned by the National Trust - a great place to live if you could put up with the hundreds of tourists who visit it every week.
I did take a few photos for tourists who wanted everyone in the photo and in turn we had a very kind lady take a photo of the two of us on the bridge near the hotel.
A wonderful day and lovely way to celebrate.
