I went to Weston on Sat with my fellow photographer and good friend Rob, good journey down (1 hr) and found parking without problem so we had time to walk along the front and see what was happening.
There were some static displays and then we found a location to shoot the airshow from - the weather.......hmmm, despite not having rain it was overcast and misty for most of the show and even got windy and cold before it brightened up toward the end of the day.
I used the Fuji X-Pro2 with the amazing 100-400 (with 1.4 convertor for most photos) a great combo but with the low light, haze and wind (blowing sand around) it was a challenge to get clear photos as any issue with haze was amplified by the focal length (many shots at 840mm equivalent).
It was a great day despite the challenges and we left around 6pm and no traffic issues so an hour to get home.
Nice shots Ian I agree the haze was a problem, I think it was even worse when the sun reflected on it.
ReplyDeleteBut a great day and still plenty of good photos.
Some of the best Red Arrow shots I have manged to do
(All down to the Fuji 100-400 lens)
