In the countryside

I was out for my daily exercise this afternoon and took the D500 with the superb 300mm f4 PF lens with me, the aim was to grab some snow images and see what else was about.

I was heading along the river bank when I saw the Kingfisher flying around, I did manage to capture a couple of images of this incredible bird.  The first one was shot just as the bird took off to grab some food from the water and the second shot was the bird sat on the branch watching the river for food.

As the afternoon went on the temperature dropped but I was still able to capture some images I am happy with.
