Nature by the lakes

feeling much better today and managed a 3 mile walk by the lakes and took the D500 with the 300mm lens to enjoy a few images.

I was able to capture some photos of the birds enjoying a feed and even a rat that popped up from the bank to enjoy some food.

It was quite bright and sunny when I arrived yet it soon changed to flat lighting and lower light levels but the D500 coped well with it - what a superb camera.
