Now I am retired I have had more opportunity to spend time taking photos of the aircraft starting with time spent near the airfield on Tue 10 Jul to capture some photos of some of the aircraft arriving.
I returned to the Park & View site on Fri 13 Jul for the first official day of the show and a full day of displays (1 cancellation due to bad weather and it was the flypast of the aircraft celebrating 100yrs of the RAF - sad to miss it).
The weather throughout the airshow was stunning to the point that there was a lot of heat haze that created problems getting good photos at times depending on the position of the display aircraft in relation to the sun.
A superb time and retirement has afforded me the time to enjoy my photography even more and take advantage of the many events happening here.
