We decided to enjoy the bank holiday and visit Berkeley Castle as it was the village where my wife was born and she had not been there since childhood.
It was a very busy day with the overflow car park being in full use.
The bonus was a quick visit to the butterfly house small, hot and very humid to cater for the butterflies and moths from hotter climates.
We then had a walk through the house before heading to the rear garden where there were some re-enactors showing medieval clothing, armour and practices.
All in all a great visit with some good photo opportunities.
I worked for the US Government in West Berlin for 11yrs as a Photojournalist, I returned home in 1991 and continued in photography until 2001. I hope all who visit this site enjoy the photographs and appreciate what can be achieved using various equipment brands and a mix of photos taken with a variety of different sensor sized cameras. I must add that all images on this site are small JPEG so do not reflect the true quality of the original Raw conversions.

Chedworth Show
We attended the Chedworth Show recently as my wife had a stall there.
It is a small village in the Cotswolds but the show is always well attended, a day of mixed weather with some intermittent rain but not enough to deter those attending.
There was something for all the family to include live music, hot food, games for the children and even a traditional "Punch & Judy show".
