Slimbridge Wetland Wildlife Trust

We went to Slimbridge the other day as Sheila had not been there since she was a very young child.

The day started off with fine drizzle and it remained overcast for the whole day but at least the drizzle stopped when we were there so we were able to walk around and enjoy the day.

It was great to see the flamingo chicks that are the first ones born at Slimbridge for 15yrs, they had to be adopted by others in the flock as the original parent rejected them - lovely little fluffy balls of mischief.

All in all a superb visit despite very few flying birds - we will be back.
