I was out and about yesterday afternoon for an unplanned drive and walk afternoon and decided to use just the 85mm on the DF so it encourages me to think more about composition.
The light was good and the air was fresh so walking was invigorating and enjoyable and the DF is so small and light that makes it an easy carry as well as being a great capture machine with that superb D4s sensor inside.
I worked for the US Government in West Berlin for 11yrs as a Photojournalist, I returned home in 1991 and continued in photography until 2001. I hope all who visit this site enjoy the photographs and appreciate what can be achieved using various equipment brands and a mix of photos taken with a variety of different sensor sized cameras. I must add that all images on this site are small JPEG so do not reflect the true quality of the original Raw conversions.

Swindon streets
We had a quick trip to Swindon yesterday so that Sheila could complete a task she had.
I had a couple of hours to walk around and grab some photos so I took some on the streets and then visited the old Railway Houses and took some photos of their surroundings and some of the back street areas with old train wheels still in place as a reminder of their heritage.

The Cloisters and the streets
I was in Gloucester this afternoon and popped into the Cathedral to take some photos of the cloisters (these were used in 3 of the Harry Potter films), I decided to use the 24mm on the DF and shot them handheld - I did make a bit of a error in not checking the metering or I would have seen I was in spot metering.
I grabbed the images I wanted after working around the building works and screened off areas inside before grabbing some street photos and dodging rain showers.

Grey day in Cheltenham
We were in Cheltenham this afternoon, it was very grey and overcast with an ongoing threat of rain so I had the camera in and out of my coat to avoid the rain drops.
I had a couple of hours to walk around and grab some photos while Sheila was finishing her Christmas shopping - it was windy which made many head into the shops and even the stall holders trying to get their stalls ready for the Christmas market mostly gave up and went home with just a couple opened.
I took the DF with the 85mm to grab street shots and these are the results.
