South Cerney Steam Extravaganza

We attended the local annual steam extravaganza on Friday as we had complimentary entrance bands, it was the right day to visit, everything was there and working and it was not overcrowded and a mix of sunshine and shade that meant it was not too hot.
As usual it was a superb show with a huge number of alternative stands / shows and displays with the main theme being the steam engines and there were plenty of them present with everyone being super friendly and willing to chat about their engines.
All in all a very good show made even more interesting by meeting a fellow visitor who served in the same group of forces that I did so we were able to catch up on some people we knew in common and talk about "the old days".
