Big boys toys

I met up with a friend last Thursday and we spent time at RAF Fairford to wait for the arrival of the B52's coming in for a very large NATO exercise.

It was very windy and those that were there in time for the early morning arrival got a real soaking and were still grumbling and drying out when I got there, we had a good laugh and as time went on the skies cleared and we had good weather but still very windy.

We had 2 x B52's arrive early afternoon around 2 pm and I managed to get some images of them on finals as well as touchdown (shot through the wire).

I was back again on Friday and chose a different location for a change of view, another good gang of enthusiasts and we all had a good laugh while waiting for the arrival of another B52. We dodged rain showers and the aircraft finally arrived at 3.40hrs - this new location meant I had to shoot through the fencing but I am happy with the results.

A couple of great days with some fun people with a lot of knowledge about all things air photography wise.

These are the images over the 2 days.
